A. What are some characteristics of blogs?
Some characteristics of blogs are that they are an organized space where you can put your thoughts into writing. You can do so however you like. Whether it be going off of a certain theme, one focus, or just everyday life. It allows you to bring your own creativity and uniqueness to the table, and write exactly how you feel.
B.What are they useful for.
They are useful for sharing your thoughts and informing people about who you are, and giving them a sense of what you like, and what kinds of things are interesting to you.

C.How are blog posts a distinctive type of writing?
Bloggers are free to write whatever they like. There are no rubrics or guidelines to follow. So, this means that it is a distinctive type of writing because it is one specific person sharing their own views
and ideas to a massive audience.
D. How might blogging be an effective extension of learning in the classroom? I think blogging could be very effective in the classroom, but only in certain situations. Situations such as the teacher wanting feedback on a discussion, or asking a question to the class, and having them write an answer back. I don't think it would be effective to make the students blog every single day as that might become strenuous. I also don't think students should have to write 4 page papers and publish them on their blogs either.,
